Disney's 2017 D23 Expo is currently underway in Anaheim, California. In case you don't know, D23 is Disney's largest event for fans. In the past, the expo has given fans first looks at New Fantasyland, Star Tours 2.0, Pandora – The World of Avatar, and Shanghai Disneyland, to name a few.

Fans are finally getting a first glimpse into the highly anticipated Star Wars land, which is being built at Disneyland in Anaheim and at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando. At the expo, Disney unveiled a 50-foot wide 3D model of the land that will cover 14 acres of each park.

A model replica is on display at the expo, but for those of us not lucky enough to be there, Disney released a video that showcases the layout of the park.

Check it out:

"Both Star Wars-inspired lands will transport guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before Wild Space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life," Disney wrote in a blog post.

The Star Wars-themed attractions are set to open in 2019. Countdown begins now.
