Taylor Swift obviously cares about her fans. She's known for personally reaching out to her fans—whether it's by showing up to their homes unannounced, sending them gifts in the mail, calling them on the phone, giving them free tickets to her shows, or simply responding to them on social media. Swift is a fan of her fans.
Well, the pop megastar is taking her love affair with her fans a step further by launching an app that gives them exclusive access to all things Swift. The Swift Life is a social app that connects Swifty fans with other Swifty fans. It promises exclusive content, including new pictures and videos, as well as the opportunity to engage directly with Swift herself. ("Taylor can see, like, and comment on posts!")
Fans will be able to collect Taymojis, stickers, and pics, and play music and chat with friends. It's basically a app for Swift fans to hang out on to become even bigger Swift fans.
Here's a first look at the app:
The Swift Life is a collaboration with Glu Mobile, the company responsible for games like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and Nicki Minaj: The Empire. But Swift's app will be less about games and more about access and exclusivity. And that's really what fandom is all about.
There's no clear indication as to when the app will launch, but it's looking like sometime in late 2017.
