Arranging Icons on the iPhone
Step
Press the "Home" button on your iPhone. If the device is locked, slide the arrow icon across the screen to unlock it.

Locate the icons you want to rearrange.

Touch and hold the display for a few seconds. The icons will begin to wiggle with a black and white "X" in the left corner.
Step
Touch and hold the icon you want to move. Move it to the location on the screen where you want it to appear and let it go. The other icons will automatically move and rearrange themselves. If you want to move the icon to another home screen, hold it to the edge of the screen in the direction of the screen you want to put it on. Let it go when you have found the home screen you want it to appear on.
Arranging Icons Through iTunes
Step
Plug the dock connector end of your USB sync cable into your iPhone and the other end into an available USB port.

Run iTunes if it does not start automatically.

Click the iPhone icon in the "Devices" list in the left window pane.

Click the "Applications" tab in the iPhone settings window.
Step
Use the visual representation of your iPhone screen to rearrange the icons using your mouse. You can also rearrange the order of the home screens by dragging and dropping them. Click "Apply" when you are finished and "Sync" to save the settings to your iPhone.
