How to Block Your Cell Phone Number From Telemarketers

The Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call Registry allows you to register up to three individual phone numbers on the telemarketing do not call list. These numbers are not limited to your landlines; cell phone numbers can be entered too. Why not add your cell phones to the National Do Not Call Registry and prevent telemarketers from calling you on your cell, as well.

Step 1

Go to This is the official FTC website for the National Do Not Call Registry.

Step 2

Click on the "Register Now" button located midway on the Home page.

Step 3

Enter the area code and number for up to three cell phone (or landline) numbers. Make sure to include the area code for each number, and do not put spaces or dashes in the phone numbers.

Step 4

Enter a valid email address twice and click "Submit."

Step 5

Confirm your information is accurate and click "Register."

Step 6

Open your email service.

Step 7

Open your inbox and the confirmation email you have received from the National Do Not Call Registry.

Step 8

Click on the embedded link to confirm your cell phone's registration on the National Do Not Call Registry.
