How to Connect Two Phones Using Bluetooth

Bluetooth teachnology is one of the newest ways to connect devices together. One of the most common uses for Bluetooth is for two phones to be connected so that they can share information such as contacts and schedules, as well as personal information. Learning to connect phones together via bluetooth will allow you a quick way to keep people's phones synchronized.

Things You'll Need

  • Two cell phones with Bluetooth enabled

Step 1

Activate Bluetooth on both of the cell phones.

Step 2

Put one of the phones in "discoverable mode." You may need to consult your phone's manual to determine the method to do this.

Step 3

Have the other phone search for other devices. The phone you set in discoverable mode should come up on the screen.

Step 4

Click on the phone, and enter a four-digit code of your choice when prompted.

Step 5

Enter the four-digit code you selected on the other phone. Both your phones will now be connected.

Tips & Warnings

  • Have your phone's manuals ready, because each phone is different.
  • Be sure to turn off "discoverable mode" on the phone you're used, because malicious users can find your phone and manipulate it.
  • Be sure to keep the phones within a close range of each other, or they will disconnect.
