How to Delete a Previous Gmail Account & Add a New One on an Android

Android devices allow you to easily sync your Gmail account with your phone, as well as other associated options, like your contacts, calendars and Google documents. You can remove a non-primary Gmail account from your phone in just a few moments, and your device will remove all the account's settings and data as well, though of course all your data is still safe online. Adding a Google account to your phone is actually quite simple, and you can usually remove an account and add a new one in just a few minutes.

You could sync up everything associated with your Gmail account, including your contacts, calendars, books and Google+ notifications, or you could deselect every option and only sync them manually later on. You can always change these settings at another time by going to the "Accounts" menu and tapping the account to view its options.
