How to Enable Wi-Fi on a TV

Wi-Fi enabled TVs have the ability to display so much more than just your TV service and your DVDs or Blu-rays. Turn on the Wi-Fi features of the TV to view online content, browse websites and stream videos and pictures from computers on your network. You can use the built-in settings menu on your TV to activate the Wi-Fi hardware and connect to your home network.

Step 1

Turn on the TV and press the "Menu" button on the remote control.

Step 2

Scroll to the "Network" option in the settings menu that appears and press "Enter."

Step 3

Highlight the "Wireless" or "Wi-Fi" entry in network window and press "Enter." Your TV will display a list of available wireless networks.

Step 4

Scroll to your Wi-Fi network's entry in the list of found networks and press "Enter." Use the on-screen keyboard that appears to enter the wireless password if your network has one. Highlight the "Connect" option and press "Enter" to join you wireless network.
