How to Find Out Your First Status on FB

By Kenneth Coppens

One of the leading social networking websites, Facebook has over 500 million active users as of 2011. Facebook first hit the Internet in 2004 and quickly gained popularity. A privacy concern for some users, Facebook saves all information on each account, including uploaded photos, personal messages with other users and status updates. Facebook allows users to get access to all of this information, which makes it possible to see the very first bit of activity on your Facebook wall.

Step 1

Sign-in to the Facebook account.

Step 2

Click on "Account" in the top right corner of the window. Select "Account Settings" from the menu.

Step 3

Click "Learn More" next to the Download Your Information section of the Account Settings.

Step 4

Click "Download." Facebook will gather all information and data you have posted to Facebook since the account was opened.

Step 5

Check the email account associated with Facebook over the next several hours. Open the message from Facebook and follow the link to the download page.

Step 6

Type in your Facebook password in the provided box and click "Continue." Click "Download Now."

Step 7

Open the file when the download is complete. Open the folder with your username and then the folder titled "html." Double-click on "wall.html" to see all activity on your Facebook wall from the time the account was opened. Scroll down to the bottom of the wall to see the first status update.
