How to Find People on YouTube

By Heather Topham Wood

If you know of someone that uses YouTube, you may want to perform a search in order to locate her. It will be helpful if you know some basic information about the person, like her YouTube username or the name of videos that she has posted on the video sharing site.

Step 1

Log on the YouTube homepage. Within the search bar at the top of the page, type the username of the person that you are looking for. If he has posted a video, you can click on the link. Once on the uploaded video, you can click on the person's profile.

Step 2

Type the video name or keywords used for the video uploaded by the person that you are looking for into the YouTube search. You can then browse through the returned results until you find the person's video and profile information.

Step 3

Go directly to the person's YouTube URL. Every registered person on YouTube is assigned a URL that uses his username.

Step 4

Use a search engine on a social networking profile search website like Spokeo. As long as you know the person's email address, you can search for the person on YouTube and other affiliated social networking sites. Their search engine will locate the profile and allow you to connect to him.

Step 5

Try to perform a Google search in order to find people on YouTube. You can try her full name, email address, video info and other details in order to find the URL that will give you access to her profile. The YouTube profile may contain her website URL, email address and other details.
