How to Find Someone on MySpace
The primary Search tool on the Myspace website makes it a snap to search for videos, songs and artists. It also makes it easy to search for individual Myspace users by name or email address. If you don't know the full name or email of the person, use the Browse tool to search for people using a number of filters, including location, gender and age.
Using Basic Search
Click the **Search** button on the main menu on the left of the screen.
Begin typing the name or email address of the person you want to find. The search results automatically adjust to reflect your search terms.
Scroll through the categories until you locate the one containing the account you want to view. Songs, videos and artists display first. If you’re searching for a person, scroll to the right until you locate the People category.
Click the person whose account you want to view.
Using the Browse Tool
Click the **People** button on the main menu along the left of the Myspace home page.
Scroll down and click the **Show Filters** button found on the right side of the Browse section.
Use the **Type** radio buttons to filter profiles by type. If you're searching for a regular profile and not one associated with an artist, musician or other such celebrity, select **All**.
Select the gender of the person you're trying to find or select **All** to search for men and women.
Enter the city or ZIP code for the person and then select the location on drop-down menu.
Drag the age slider to further refine the search results by age.

- Once you’ve loaded a person’s Myspace profile, sort through her content using the menu on the left of the page. Which items appear on this menu will vary depending on the content the user has posted. Options might include Music, Videos, Connections, Photos, Events and Mixes.
