How to Hook Up a Vizio HD Sound Bar to a Panasonic Plasma TV
Vizio sound bars are sleek, home theater systems designed to go with sleek, flat screen televisions. When connecting a Vizio sound bar to a Panasonic plasma screen, you can use the A/V cable that comes with the sound bar and carries the audio signal from the plasma screen to the Vizio speaker. You can also connect the sound bar directly to your cable box. But if connected this way, the Vizio will not be able to play sound coming from a game console, DVD player or other connected device.
Things You'll Need
- A/V cable
Insert the matching red and white A/V cable into the "Input 2" connection on the back of the Vizio sound bar.
Insert the other end of the A/V cable into the matching red and white "Audio/Component Out" connections on the back of the Panasonic plasma television.
Plug the power cable jack into the "DC IN" connection on the back of the Vizio soundbar, and insert the prongs on the cable into the power outlet.
Press the "Power" button on the top panel of the Vizio soundbar to turn it on.
Turn on the Panasonic plasma screen to your preferred channel. The audio will play through the Vizio soundbar.
