If you want a little more privacy when making cellular calls, you may want to think about a line block. A line block is a feature offered by your service provider that blocks your cell phone number from being displayed on other people's phones. There is no programming of the phone involved, and you can take care of the entire thing via your service provider.
Contact your cellular service provider. On many cellular phones you can reach the service provider directly by typing in "*611" and pressing "Send."
Tell the customer service representative that you would like to request a line block. Find out if there are any monthly charges for this feature. Most service providers don't charge for a line block, but some do.
Confirm that you would like the line block and the feature will be enabled to your phone.
