How to Program a Dish Remote to Your TV
Keeping your home entertainment center organized can be challenging if you have multiple electronic components. With each component comes a variety of connection cables and power cords. Further, most electronic devices also come with a separate remote control. If you're a Dish Network subscriber, one way to eliminate the need for your television remote is to program your Dish remote to control your TV.
Turn on the TV that you want to sync with your Dish Network remote.
Find the brand name of your television and locate the three-digit code from list of television codes in the back of the user manual. Each manufacturer has multiple codes. When you are asked to enter the code, start with the first code on the list. See "Resources" section to download the manual for your remote if you've lost it.
Press and hold the "TV" button located at the top of your Dish remote until the "TV" button flashes.
Enter the three-digit code for your TV followed by the "#" button.
Press the "Power" button and the TV turns off. If the code you entered doesn't work, try the entire process again with a different code.
