How to Program a Yamaha RAV322 Remote
The Yamaha RAV322 remote is used to control the Yamaha RX-V459 stereo receiver. This remote is a universal remote control, meaning it can be used to control other devices besides the stereo receiver, including your television, DVD player, VCR, cable or satellite box, and CD player. You must first program the remote before it is able to control these devices.
Things You'll Need
- Pin or ballpoint pen
Turn on the device you want to program. For example, if you want your Yamaha remote to control your TV, turn on the TV.
Locate the manufacturer's device code in the back of your manual. See "Resources" to download the manual if you no longer have it.
Press the device button at the top of the controller that corresponds with the device you want to program.
Insert a pin or ballpoint pen into the "Code Set" hole located at the top left-hand corner of the remote. The transmit indicator at the top of the remote will flash twice.
Enter the 5-digit device code using the number keys on the remote. The transmit indicator will flash two times again.
Press the "Power" button and the device you are trying to program will shut off. In the event that your device has multiple codes and the device didn't shut off, repeat steps 2 through 5 until you find the correct code.
