By Ryan Cockerham

The Photo Booth software application on Apple computers provides users with a quick, easily accessible method of basic photo editing and image capturing. Photo Booth includes several preset photo effects that offer users the ability to refine, modify or enhance their own images. Users can add or remove these effects at will. Deleting effects within Photo Booth is a quck, easy process that can accomplished using a few simple steps.

Step 1

Open the photo you wish to modify in Photobooth by selecting it in the scrolling horizontal pane at the bottom of the Photobooth window.

Step 2

Select the "show effects" tab from the "view" menu at the top of the Photobooth display.

Step 3

Select "normal" from the window that appears to remove all effects that Photobooth has added to your photo. As a rule of thumb, you can remove any effect that you have added to your photo within Photobooth using this process.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are interested in expanding the palette of effects you have available at your disposal, consider obtaining a photo-editing program such as Photoshop, Corel Draw or GIMP. Each of these software packages provides users with an accessible portfolio of effects that they can use to enhance or manipulate their photo productions.
  • Modifications made to existing photos protected under copyright do not void the image from preexisting copyright conditions. Ensure that the images you are using or manipulating are original or available through the public domain.
