A Flip video camera's small size means that it can go almost anywhere in a pocket or a purse. And its USB drive allows you to plug it into a computer and upload photos and videos easily. Sometimes, however, the camera can freeze, so it is important to know what steps to take to reset it.
Video of the Day
Hold the power button down for 10 seconds
Check and see if the camera has unfrozen
Power the camera off and leave untouched for about 15 seconds.
Turn the camera back on and ensure that it is working properly. If it is not, you must proceed to Step 5 for a "hard reset."
Take a pin or the point of a thumbtack and press it into the tiny reset hole near the camera's tripod mount. This should reset the camera without affecting any of the video footage recorded with the camera.
Call the manufacturer at the phone number listed on the directions if the camera remains unresponsive after the hard reset.
