How to Switch Sprint Phones
If you've used your Sprint phone so much that the wear and tear is visible, or if it's damaged beyond repair, you can easily switch out your phone. You can use one that you saved as a backup phone or purchase a new one.
Visit the Sprint website and select the option to activate your phone online. You can do this for an old phone or a new phone. By activating online, you won't have to pay an activation fee. After selecting the option to activate online, you'll be asked for your mobile number, phone model, ESN code and email address. Once all of the information has been provided, your phone will be activated.
Check to see if you are eligible for an upgrade on your Sprint phone. If you are not eligible, you can still switch phones, but you will not receive a discount on your new phone.
Visit a Sprint mobile retailer. Advise the retailer that you would like to switch to a different Sprint mobile phone. Browse through the selection of phones and select one. The Sprint mobile retailer will transfer your mobile number to your new phone. You may qualify for a discount on your new phone if you've had your old Sprint phone for more than a year.
Visit the Sprint website. Browse through the selection of mobile phones online until you've found the model you'd like to purchase. Go to the page for Sprint's upgrade program. Select the option to "Upgrade Online," then follow the prompts through the process of purchasing your new phone. Your new phone will be sent to you.
Call Sprint customer service at 888-211-4727. Tell the consultant you would like to switch your Sprint mobile phone, and let him know what phone you'd like to purchase. You'll receive it via UPS.
