How to Sync Yahoo Calendar With a Droid

By James Crider

Google Android smartphones use Google services for basic information management. Gmail is the default email client, Google Contacts handles the address book, and so on. Your Android phone will automatically sync your phone's calendar with the Google Calendar Web service. The easiest way to add a Yahoo! calendar to your Android phone is to export it to a standard iCal file, then upload the file to the Google Calendar website.

Step 1

Open a Web browser.

Step 2

Go to calendar.yahoo.com. Log in with your Yahoo! username and password.

Step 3

Click "Options." Click "Import/Export." Select "Export to Outlook," then click the "Export" button. Save the iCal CSV file to your computer desktop.

Step 4

Go to google.com/calendar. Log in with the same Google username and password that you use for your Android phone.

Step 5

Click "Add," then click "Import Calendar." Click "Browse."

Step 6

Select the file that you saved in Step 3. Click "Open." Click "Import." Your calendar events will appear on your Android phone's Calendar app in a few minutes.
