How to Track Facebook Posts

By Vanessa Padgalskas

On Facebook posts are short messages that can be written on someone's profile "wall" or on someone's photo. A post can also be made as a comment on someone's status update. Once a message has been posted, other Facebook users, who are friends with the message recipient, can also post comments. By changing your Facebook settings, Facebook will notify you when other people have posted comments on the same subject and you will be notified when you receive posts, enabling you to track comments.

Step 1

Sign in to your Facebook account.

Step 2

Click "Account" in the upper right of your Facebook screen, and then select "Account Settings."

Step 3

Click on the "Notifications" tab.

Step 4

Click on the box underneath the "Email" column and to the right of the following options: "Posts on you Wall," "Tags you in a post," "Mentions you in a comment," "Comments on a post you were tagged in," "Comments on your photos," "Comments on a photo of you," "Comments after you in a photo," "Comments on your photo albums," "Comments after you on a photo album," "Posts on the wall of an event you admin," and "Comments on one of your check-ins." Any option that includes the word "comment" should be checked. By checking these options you will be notified through your email and on your homepage of Facebook anytime someone send you a post, posts on a photo you are in, or posts on a photo or status after you. This will enable you to keep track of all posts.
