How to Use an Omni 2 Digital Video Camera
Digital video cameras like the Omni 2 offer a wide range of features in a compact device with long battery life and ample storage space. Zoom in for close-up wildlife shots or use a tripod to take stunning panoramic footage from scenic overviews. Capture memories from a favorite vacation or sporting event and play them back on the television, computer or even a smartphone. Share the video with friends and family on the Internet or burn it to a DVD for easy distribution.
Fully charge the main battery and spare battery prior to using the Omni2 camera in order to get the longest possible recording time.
Remove the lens cap and power on the video camera by holding down the power button for about a second.
Adjust the LCD display panel to allow the best view from the angle the scene will be filmed from.
Attach the Omni 2 digital video camera base to a standard tripod and level the tripod to eliminate most jitter and shaking from the videos.
Zoom to the desired magnification and turn on any artificial lights that will be used to enhance the scene.
Press the "Record" button momentarily until the "REC" indicator appears in the LCD display. Proceed to record the video and press the "Stop" button when done. Alternatively press the "Pause" button to pause the recording and press the "Pause" button again to resume recording.
Press the "Menu" button to access the internal settings and make adjustments to color settings, video format or set the date and time. Press the "Menu" button again to exit the menu.
Connect the included data cable to the output port on the side of the Omni 2 and plug the other end into an available USB port on a computer. Click "Open folder to view files" on the menu that automatically pops up on the computer.
Copy the files on the camera to the hard drive on the computer or upload them directly to a social networking site of your choice.
