When you are using your iPhone to read something, the device could get stuck and prevent you from viewing the next page. Apple's iPhone comes with a variety of apps already installed, including the Safari Web browser. You can also download Apple's free iBooks apps for reading e-books. If you get stuck reading a page, you can force-quit the app to see if that solves the problem.

Reading Web Pages
Apple's iPhone accesses the Internet via Wi-Fi and cellular data networks. Press the "Home" button to go to the device's home screen, and then tap the "Safari" icon when you want to view Web pages with Apple's native browser. Tap the address bar, and then type in a website's URL, or tap the bookmarks icon, and then tap the name of a website to go to its page. Drag a finger upward on the screen to scroll down the page.
You can read books with Apple's iBooks app, which supports files saved in the PDF and EPUB formats. The iBooks app accesses the iBookstore, from which you can download books directly to the iPhone. You can also copy books from your computer to your iPhone via Apple's free iTunes application. Tap the right side of the screen to skip to the next page, and tap the left side of the screen to go to the previous page. You can also swipe a finger to the left or the right to go back and forth through the book's pages.
Force Quit App
If you are viewing a page with Safari or iBooks and the iPhone's display is stuck on the page, unresponsive to your taps and touches, you need to force-quit the app. Press the "Sleep/Wake-On-Off" button, which is on the upper right edge of the iPhone, and hold it for a few seconds until you see the red slider appear on the multi-touch display. Press the "Home" button, located below the display, and keep holding it until the frozen app quits.
When force-quitting an app does not solve the problem of your iPhone being stuck on a page, you need to restart the device. Press and hold the device's "Sleep/Wake-On-Off" button until the red slider appears on the display. Touch the red slider and drag it from left to right to turn off the iPhone. Press and hold the device's "Sleep/Wake-On-Off" button until Apple's logo appears, indicating that it has restarted.
