Motorola conducted a global study in partnership with Dr. Nancy Etcoff, an expert in Mind-Brain Behavior and the Science of Happiness at Harvard University and Psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry. The study looks at behaviors and phone use habits in people of all ages with the intent to understand the impact of smartphones on our relationships with ourselves and other people.
The results show that 33 percent of participants put their phones before real life relationships, over half of those respondents being young people who were alive before smartphones existed. The study found that 61 percent of participants want help with their phone-life balance and desire to have a life separate from their phones.
So, what about you? Are you obsessed with your phone? Motorola put together a quiz that'll let you know if you and your phone need to spend some time apart.
