A Wi-Fi network has the same basic features as a wired network, such as the ability to share network resources. Users on the network can share the files and folders on their hard drives with other users on the network. The same process that is used to access a hard drive on a wired network is used for a wireless network. You can use the View Network Computers and Devices utility in Windows to access a hard drive on a Wi-Fi network.
Click "Start" and select "Control Panel."
Click "Network and Internet" and then select "View Network Computers and Devices" under "Network and Sharing Center." The computers and shared drives are displayed in the window.
Double-click a computer to access the shared files and folders on its hard drive.
