How do I Convert an RSM File Extension to a Word Document?

By Kenrick Callwood

The RSM file extension is used for a variety of programs from airplane-designing software to video game save files. However, the RSM extension associated with saved resumes from WinWay Resume is compatible with Word. These files can be easily exported into a variety of common file extensions to make the resume easier to distribute to potential employers. The export process is built-in and is accessible with just a few mouse clicks.

Things You'll Need

  • WinWay Resume
  • Microsoft Word

Step 1

Open the RSM file in WinWay Resume by selecting "Open" from the "File" menu and selecting the file from its location on the hard drive.

Step 2

Click "File" once the RSM file is open.

Step 3

Select "Export" from the file menu and choose "RTF" as the file type.

Step 4
