How to Accept Instagram Requests Online

By Avery Martin

With a user base of over 130 million, Instagram allows you to connect with others to share, edit and transform pictures taken on your mobile device. Setting your profile to private means that you need to manually approve any new follower requests. Confirming followers on a private profile helps ensure that only the people you grant access to can view your photo collection. The mobile app also supports several options for editing your profile and viewing your total number of followers. The app provides you a list of the people you follow.

Step 1

Launch the "Instagram" app on your device.

Step 2

Tap the Heart tab and select the "News" tab.

Step 3

Select the friend you want to approve, and tap the green check mark to approve the follower.
