How to Add Text to My Pictures

By Angela Neal

You can add text to your photos easily with the help of a simple photo editing or graphics program. Freeware or shareware programs such as Paint.NET can help you add different effects and text to your pictures and allow you to customize the color, size and font of the text. If the program has a shape tool with speech bubbles, you can use these as well to add text to your pictures. Microsoft Paint has a text editing tool, but the background of the text will be opaque with this program.
