How to Add Weather Updates to Powerpoint

PowerPoint is a presentation software that is part of the Microsoft Office Suite. One feature of PowerPoint is that you can insert objects to display in your presentations. Should you need to include a weather update in a presentation, it is easy to do after downloading an add-on. After you download the LiveWeb add-on, you can quickly add weather updates or any other web page to your PowerPoint presentations.

Things You'll Need

  • MyWeb add-on for PowerPoint

Download PowerPoint Add-On

Step 1

Go to and download the DigitalWeb add-on for PowerPoint. This add-on is necessary to add weather updates to a PowerPoint slide.

Step 2

Click on the link for your version of PowerPoint. When you are prompted, click "Save File" and the add-on will download to your computer.

Step 3

Go to the downloads folder and right-click on "LiveWeb." Select "Extract all." You can now add a weather update to PowerPoint.

Step 1

Double click on the LiveWeb button. It will open PowerPoint for you.

Step 2

Click "Insert" from the toolbar at the top of the page and select "Web Page."

Step 3

Read the description of LiveWeb in the box that opens and click "Next" and enter the website link for the weather update you want to insert. Click "Next."

Step 4

Check the box next to "Yes, refresh web page automatically (real-time update)." Click "Next."

Step 5

Enter how much of the slide you want the weather update to use and click "Next" and click "Finish." The update will now be on your PowerPoint presentation; you can test it by previewing the slide show.
