How to Cancel a Rhapsody Subscription
Rhapsody is a RealNetworks service that allows subscribers to download unlimited songs to their computers until their subscriptions expire. Rhapsody works similarly to Napster and BearShare, except the other two allow users to buy a single song at a time and keep the songs forever, while Rhapsody's songs expire with the subscription. If you decide you no longer want Rhapsody, you have to jump through a few hoops to stop your subscription.
Open your web browser and navigate to service.real.com (see Resources). This website allows the user to get support for all of the Real products, including RealPlayer, RealDVD, Rhapsody, RealArcade and more.
Click on "Rhapsody."
In the "Contact" box, click on "Cancel Your Account."
Under "Cancel Membership," click on "Click Here to Cancel." You will be directed to a "Find Answers" page on which you can ask the Rhapsody customer support team any questions concerning your product. Don't bother with filling out the form and asking how to cancel your Rhapsody subscription, because you can't do it online. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to where the Real Support phone number is posted.
Call the number to cancel your Rhapsody subscription. Provide your account information. Before your account is canceled, you will be asked questions in which the answers will be used to improve the quality of Rhapsody and the ability of Real to help customers. After the questions, your Rhapsody subscription will be canceled.
