How to Change From the U.S. to U.K. iTunes Store
ITunes offers online media stores in many countries, and each store may sell materials from different artists. The iTunes Store displayed in the program defaults to the store for your own country, but you can also browse the stores of other countries. In addition, iTunes lets you select a default country and billing information for your Apple ID and requires that you use appropriate billing information for the country's store you wish to use. If you want to browse and make purchases from the United Kingdom iTunes Store, you can modify your profile's location settings.
Open iTunes and select "Sign In" from the "Store" menu. Type your Apple ID and password, then click "Sign In."
Select "View My Account" from the "Store" menu. Type your password again if prompted, then click "View Account." Click the "Change Country or Region" button in the first section of the "Account Information" window.
Select "United Kingdom" from the "Select a Country or Region" drop-down list and click "Change Country or Region." Click "Continue" to view the terms and conditions. Click "I Have Read and Agree to These Terms and Conditions" if you agree, and click "Continue."
Enter modified payment information, including your payment method and address, on the "Review Payment Information." To use the U.K. iTunes Store for purchases, you must provide a U.K. address and payment method. Click "Done" after you enter the requested information. You then have access to the U.K. iTunes Store.
Tips & Warnings
- If you just want to browse the U.K. iTunes Store and don't intend to make purchases, click "Change Country" under "Manage" at the bottom of the iTunes Store. Select "United Kingdom" on the country list that appears to change the store.
