REFOG is a maker of free and commercial keylogger software for Windows. Using the REFOG Keylogger, you can monitor the keystrokes made on your computer to prevent your children from having inappropriate communication online or prevent employees from breaking company policy at a business. The commercial version of the REFOG Keylogger has the ability to hide its own system-tray icon while it is running to prevent monitored individuals from being aware of the program. You can make the system tray icon appear by typing a password. If you fear the a computer user might have discovered the password, use the REFOG configuration wizard to change it.

Step

Type the current REFOG Keylogger password, hot-key combination or run command to reveal the system-tray icon. If you have not changed the default settings, the hot-key combination is "Ctrl," "Alt," "Shift" and "K" and the run command is "runrefog." Enter the run command in the Windows "Run" dialog box or in the search field at the bottom of the Start menu.

Step

Right-click the REFOG system-tray icon, and then click "Settings."

Step

Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the REFOG Keylogger window, and then click "Settings Wizard."

Step

Click "Next" three times to avoid making any changes to the current configuration of REFOG Keylogger.

Step

Click the "Magic Word" field, and type the new password that you would like to use to reveal the REFOG icon.

Step

Click "Next" twice, and then click "Finish" to save the new password.
