How to Change Wireless Access for Roku

If you move your Roku, a digital-media product, to another location that is not in range of your home wireless network, you will need to take a couple of minutes to reconfigure your Roku's wireless settings for the new location.

Things You'll Need

  • Television
  • Wireless network

Step 1

Press the "Home" button on your Roku remote control.

Step 2

Press the left arrow key until "Settings" is highlighted on the television screen and press "Select" on your remote control.

Step 3

Highlight "Repeat guided setup" and press the "Select" key on the remote control.

Step 4

Highlight "Wireless" as the type of network and press "Select" on the remote.

Step 5

Select the wireless network that you want to connect to and press the "Select" key on your remote. The Roku device is compatible with "b," "g" and "n" wireless networks.

Step 6

Enter the WEP key or WPA passphrase for the wireless network by using the arrows on your Roku remote control.

Step 7

Highlight "done" and press "Select" on the remote control to complete the setup.
