If your Mac is acting up when you are browsing on the Internet, someone may advise you to remove the cookies. What is a cookie? It is a piece of text that a website you've visited has stored on your computer for future identification purposes.

Launch Safari. Click "Safari" from the menu at the top of the computer screen and click on "Preferences" from the menu that appears. When the "Preferences" window opens, click on the icon at the top of the window labeled "Security."
Scroll down to the "Accept cookies" section and click the "Show Cookies" button.
View the cookies on your computer on the screen that drops down. Click "Remove All" at the bottom of the page.
A box opens up asking you if you want to remove all the cookies. If you do, just click "Remove All" again to complete the process.
