How to Combine Twitter With Facebook

When you install the Twitter app on Facebook, you can set it up to combine the two accounts and automatically post your tweets on your Facebook wall. This is a great feature if you actively use both social networks to share your thoughts, opinions and sites you've been visiting.

Step 1

Sign in to your personal Facebook account.

Step 2

Type "twitter" in the top search box. Select the "Twitter" app from the list.

Step 3

Click the "Go to App" button on the Twitter app page.

Step 4

Type in your Twitter login credentials, including username and password. Click the "Allow" button to confirm. It may take a few moments for the app to sync and gain permission from your Twitter account.

Step 5

Click the "Allow Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status" button on the Twitter application. On the next page, click "Allow Status Updates."

Step 6

Go to the Twitter application at any time to post a tweet directly from Facebook. Type your message in the provided text box and click the "Update" or "Send" button. Your tweets will automatically post to on your Facebook wall and Twitter stream.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have technical issues installing the Twitter app in Facebook, clear the cookies and temporary Internet files for your browser.
  • If it still does not install, try using a different Web browser and attempt the Twitter app installation again.
