NVC file types represent NeroVision video projects. NVC files are not actual video files; instead, they are proprietary project files specifically from NeroVision software. These files do not contain video information and cannot directly be converted into other common video formats by third-party programs. The NeroVision suite provides clear authoring methods to users. NVC projects may be burned onto physical disks or saved in specific video file formats like MPEG or AVI.

Open NeroVision and load the NFC project file you wish to convert. Many versions of Nero are available on a trial basis, as full ownership of the multimedia suite is not necessary to re-save NFC files.
Select "File" and "Save project as," or choose "Burn DVD" within the main menu.
Navigate to the location where you wish to save the project. Convert the project to AVI format by choosing ".avi" from the drop-down list of formats under the "File name:" field. Enter a name for the new file, and then click "Save" or "Burn." The time it takes to save or author the new file depends on the size of the video as well as the speed of the computer.
Verify that the file was properly stored by opening the new ".avi" in any media player.
