How to Create a Facebook Page Just for Fun
The Facebook social networking site allows users to connect with each other, and with organizations using the Internet. While users can make friends by creating and maintaining a personal profile, organizations and individuals can also create fan pages to attract users to a cause, product or service. While Facebook pages are typically used to drum up business for a company, or promote the efforts of a group or individual, anyone can create them, which means you can create a page for fun by following the same steps that organizations do when they create a fan page.
Open your Web browser and navigate to the Facebook homepage.
Type your email address and password into the appropriate boxes and click "Log In" to access your account.
Click "Create a Page" at the bottom of the screen.
Click on one of the six categories on the Create a Page screen that best describes your page. If you cannot adequately classify your page, simply pick a category to progress with the process.
Choose a sub-category for your page, if prompted. Some categories require you to further specify what type of page you are creating. For instance, if you choose the Entertainment category, you'll have to pick from sub-categories to describe your fan page that include everything from "Movie" to "School Sports Team."
Type a name for your page in the text box beneath the Category box. If you are creating a page for a business, type in the relevant contact information specified in the boxes that appear.
Check the box next to the option marked "I agree to Facebook Pages Terms."
Click on the "Get Started" button. A page creation screen will appear showing the empty template for your page.
Click "Upload a Photo" to choose an image from your hard drive to display prominently on the Facebook page.
Click the "Suggest to Friends" button to invite friends to follow the page and gather fans for your page.
Click the "Import Contacts" button to scan your email inbox for more people to invite to your page.
