How to Delete Cookies in Vista
Cookies are small files placed on your system by the websites that you frequent. If you do not clear your cookies from time to time, they will begin to pile up and slow your system. If you are using Windows Vista, it is very easy to delete your computer's cookies; here's how.
Things You'll Need
- Microsoft Vista
- Internet Explorer
Turn on your computer and open an Internet Explorer window.
Click on "Tools" in the toolbar and then select "Delete Browser History." This will open a new window with several options for deletion.
To delete only the cookies on your computer and nothing else, simply click the second option labeled "Delete Cookies."
A warning window will open, asking if you are sure that you want to delete all cookies. Click "Yes" to continue deleting the cookies.
Click "close" to close the "Delete Browser History" window. Finally, close any Internet Explorer windows and re-open them to ensure any remaining cookies are deleted.
