Step 1

Push your Windows button and "R" key at the same time until your run box appears on the computer screen.

Step 2

Enter the "msconfig" command in your run box and hit "Enter."

Step 3

Click "Boot" and then click "Advanced Options."

Step 4

Go to the "Boot Advanced Options" menu on your laptop or desktop and alter the number in the box from one to two to use your dual core processor.
