How to Enlarge Taskbar Icons

By Aaron Wein

At the default settings, some people may find the Windows taskbar difficult to see. To fix this problem, you can modify your computer's display settings to increase the size of text and icons to 125 percent or 150 percent. This can alleviate the strain that squinting can cause on your eyes.

Step 1

Click "Start."

Step 2

Type "Display" in the search box. Click "Display" in the results list.

Step 3

Click "Medium - 125%" or "Large - 150%." A preview of the display change appears on the right.

Step 4

Select "Apply."

Step 5

Click "Log off now." The changes take effect when you log back in.

Step 6

Log back in.
