How to Find Your BSA Pack & Unit Number

By Chad Buleen

The Boy Scouts of America features hundreds of units across the country. Within each unit are several packs or troops. Young men who participate in BSA programs have the opportunity to earn rank advancements. They also have the opportunity to participate in weekly Scout meetings, yearly high adventure camps and several other character-building experiences. You can use the BSA's pack and unit locator to find the unit and pack in your area.

Step 1

Open your Web browser of choice.

Step 2

Navigate to the Boy Scouts of America home page.

Step 3

Click the appropriate tab at the top of the page to choose between "Cub Scouts," "Boy Scouts," and "Venturing" programs.

Step 4

Type your zip code into the box at the top of the page, and press "Enter." A new page appears that includes a map and a list of packs or troops.

Step 5

Click on the pack or troop icon near the location where you live in the map. Click the "View Unit" link to see the unit number to which the pack or troop belongs.
