How to Reboot Sonicwall

SonicWALL Inc. offers customers both hardware and software that are designed to secure computer networks and information. These products are meant to protect networks from security threats and help to minimize network downtime. A wide range of options are available to accommodate both large and small businesses. SonicWALL's various products and software packages are designed to work both alone and in combination with each other and are managed and configured through the user's LAN IP address. This is also where you must go If at any time it becomes necessary to reboot, or restart, SonicWALL.

Things You'll Need

  • Your SonicWALL LAN IP address
  • Your SonicWALL LAN IP login information

Step 1

Log on to your main SonicWall LAN IP address. The will open your SonicWall Administration page.

Step 2

Click the word "Tools," located on the left side of the administration page under the SonicWALL logo.

Step 3

Open the "Restart" tab by clicking it when the tool menu options appear.

Step 4

Click the "Restart SonicWALL" button that appears in the middle of the restart tab.

Step 5

Select "Yes" when prompted to confirm that you would like to restart SonicWALL. The restart process typically takes 90 seconds to complete.

Tips & Warnings

  • While SonicWALL is restarting, Internet service will not be available to the LAN network users.
