How to Remove WeatherBug

By Andrew Meer

WeatherBug provides real-time weather updates either as a modern app in Windows 8 and 8.1, or as a desktop application in Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. It does, however, use annoying advertisements that can distract you from your work. Remove the modern-style app directly from the Start screen, and remove the desktop version from the Programs and Features panel.

Removing WeatherBug

To remove the WeatherBug modern app, get to the Start screen of your Windows 8/8.1 installation, and then right-click the WeatherBug tile. Select **Uninstall**, and then click **Uninstall** again to remove the app. To remove the desktop version of WeatherBug, press **Windows-R** to open the Run box, type, **appwiz.cpl**, and then press **Enter**. On the list of apps, select WeatherBug, and then click **Uninstall** to remove it. If you can't remove the desktop version of WeatherBug normally due to a corrupted installation, use third-party uninstallers such as [CCleaner](, [Revo Uninstaller]( or [GeekUninstaller]( to forcibly remove the application.
