How to Repair a File That Is Encrypted or Unable to Be Read on Word

You can recover your documents using the Microsoft Word file recovery tool found on the software package. In just a couple of minutes, you can easily repair your Word documents. You won't have to take your computer into a specialist or spend any money on this repair. You can do it yourself.

Step 1

Open your Microsoft Word program by double-clicking on the icon on your computer's desktop.

Step 2

Click the "File" menu at the top of the software screen when the computer has opened the program.

Step 3

Go to the "Open" icon in the "File" menu and click on the arrow on the right side of the tab.

Step 4

Click on the "Open and Repair" tab in the menu and then select your Word document from the menu that opens.

Wait for the computer to restore your Word document to working order.
