How to Repair Asus Laptops

Asus laptops are small and portable, making them convenient for people that want to surf the web while at a library, bookstore or hotel. When one of these break, you can use Microsoft Windows XP's System Restore program to repair it. This will reset the laptop to a previous time when the laptop worked without any problem.

Step 1

Click the "Start" rectangle in the lower left corner. Move the mouse to "All Programs," then "Accessories" in the left pane, then "System Tools." Click the left mouse key on "System Restore."

Step 2

Move the mouse to "Restore my computer to an earlier time" and click on it.

Step 3

On System Restore's calendar, pick a date when the Asus laptop did not have any problems. Click "Next" at the bottom of the screen, then "Finish" on the next screen to restore the Asus to a previous time.

Tips & Warnings

  • Restoring the Asus laptop to a previous time will not remove any of your personal files.
  • Programs you installed on the Asus laptop after the restore point date will be uninstalled.
