How to Reprogram a Computer

Reprogramming and customizing your computer to fill your needs is one of the great advantages to the computing medium. This can be accomplished by manipulating the settings within your operating system to provide you with a more tailored look to your computer, a faster-running system or any other type of change that you can imagine. This can generally be accomplished in around five to ten minutes.

Step 1

Click on the "Start" menu.

Step 2

Open the "Control Panel," which is the heart of your computer's settings.

Step 3

Select the subcategory for the type of reprogramming change you would like to make, such as network changes, user account changes or hardware changes.

Step 4

Follow the onscreen instructions for your chosen category to successfully change your computer's settings, reprogramming the machine.

Step 1

Click on "Start" and select "Control Panel."

Step 2

Select "Users" or "User Accounts."

Step 3

Click the option to "Add a user account."

Step 4

Assign the account a username and password (if desired) to complete the account.

Step 1

Click on "Start" and select "Control Panel."

Step 2

Click on "Network Connections."

Step 3

Select the "Network and Sharing Center."

Step 4

Click on the option to "Set up a connection."

Input in the details of your network connection when prompted, such as your username and password (if required) and whether you wish to enable file and printer sharing.
