Sell Your Clothing

Step 1

Negotiate with interested buyers for a fair price.

Step 2

Arrange for a mutually beneficial pickup time and place for you and the buyer in a public location during the daytime. Or arrange shipping details if the buyer is out of town.

Step 3

Accept only cash or money orders as payment for your clothing. Never accept cashier's checks or personal checks because they can be easily counterfeited, and your bank will hold you responsible for the funds.

Tips & Warnings

  • Provide as much information as possible to get buyers interested in your clothing. This includes the size, the brand, the length of time you've owned a particular item and the condition.
  • Never include too much personal information in your clothing ad. You can screen buyers by using just the anonymous email address that Craigslist provides when you list your item(s). This will help safeguard your identity and protect you against over-aggressive or annoying buyers.
