How to Set Up a Westell 7500 Modem Router
The Westell VersaLink 7500 modem router delivers Internet access over both wired and wireless connections for digital subscriber line, or DLS, service. The modem features an 802.11b/g/n wireless signal, a preconfigured interface and four Ethernet ports for multiple wired connections. You can connect your Westell router to your Internet service connection to create a network in your home or business. You can also connect printers to this device so that you can share one printer among other computers.
Locate the input panel on the side of the Westell router.
Insert one end of the phone line that runs from your wall jack to the DSL port on the side of the Westell router.
Insert the power cord for the router into the wall outlet and connect it to the power source port on the side of the router. The power, DSL and Internet lights will illuminate once the connection is made. The Westell 7500 Modem Router is now set up.
Click the "Wireless Connection" or "Network Connection" icon in the Windows system tray in the taskbar. This icon may look like horizontal or vertical bars that will depict signal strength once you have connected to a wireless network. It may also look like two computers trying to connect. The type of icon depends on what version of the Windows operating system you are running.
Select the wireless network associated with the Westell router and click "Connect."
