How to Stream Pandora to Apple TVs

The second generation Apple TV is a content-streaming device that connects to your television, and can be used with the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to stream videos and music to your television. Through AirPlay, the Apple TV detects other Apple devices on your wireless network and connects to them in order to stream media. In addition to music and videos, Pandora can also be streamed from your Apple device to Apple TV using AirPlay, which is available on all Apple devices using the iOS 4.3 software.

Step 1

Press the right arrow on the Apple TV's remote to highlight "Settings" in the menu. Press the down arrow to highlight "General." Press the center button to select "General," "Network."

Step 2

Highlight "Configure Wireless." Press the center button. Click the name of your wireless network in the list. Enter the network password.

Step 3

Click "Done" to enter the password and connect to the Wi-Fi network. Click "Done" once more when the connection complete message appears. Press the "Menu" button three times to return to the main menu.

Step 4

Tap "Settings" on your Apple mobile device, and tap "Wi-Fi." Slide your finger over the Wi-Fi tab to enable the device's wireless feature. Tap the name of your Wi-Fi network.

Step 5

Enter the network's password. Tap "Join." Press the "Home" button. Tap the Pandora application icon.

Step 6

Tap the radio station you want to listen to, and tap the AirPlay icon in the bottom-right corner of the Pandora window next to the "Next" button.

Step 7

Tap "Apple TV" as the destination device to begin streaming the application.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Apple TV and iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad must be connected to the same wireless network in order to stream content.
