How to Switch From Juno to Gmail
Google's Gmail is fast becoming one of the more popular email servers, while some people with Juno webmail accounts appear to be feeling less than satisfied with their current server. If you currently aren't happy with your Juno account and are curious to find out what Gmail has to offer, switching your account is one of the easiest things to do.
Write down a list of all the people you regularly send and receive messages from on your Juno account. This will definitely include your active contact list, but be sure to remember anyone not on the list you often send messages to.
Log on to Google and look for the Gmail link at the top of the screen. Gmail's welcome page will have another link to take you to the signup page.
Fill out all the information to create a new Gmail account. This includes providing your name, choosing an email address and password, selecting a security question to reclaim a lost password and agreeing to Gmail's terms of service.
Forward all your email messages currently on your Juno account to your new Gmail account, in case you have any messages you need to save. Once all your messages are secure, you can now cancel the Juno account.
Contact everyone on your list and inform them of your new email address to make sure you don't miss any messages from them. You'll also want to create a new contacts list on the Gmail account.
Tips & Warnings
- It is possible that you may need to choose a different username on your Gmail address than the one you had on Juno, as your old username may already be taken.
