How to Take a Screenshot in Mozilla Firefox

By Lillian Downey

Screenshots have a variety of applications. Designers use them to mark up and add suggested edits to web design and art projects. Gamers use them to boast about their progress or share information with other gamers. Reviewers use them to illustrate their reviews of software, games and websites. If you use Firefox as your web browser, you can take a screenshot from within the browser by installing a screen capture plug-in.

Things You'll Need

  • Aviary Screen Capture & Quick Launch Plug-in

Installing the Plug-in

Step 1

Install a Firefox plug-in called Aviary Screen Capture & Quick Launch. To do this, go to the plug-in's website (see the link at the bottom of this article) and select the green "Add to Firefox" button. This will launch the software installation window. From this window select "Install Now."

Step 2
