How to Track Your Login History on Yahoo!

By Steve Gregory

If you are noticing unusual activity in your Yahoo! account, it might be the result of system changes you made to the account or that someone has gained unauthorized access to your account. If someone has gained access to your account, he can steal your personal information or use your account for illegal purposes. Use the View Your Recent Login Activity feature in your Yahoo! account to track your login history. If you notice any unusual logins, immediately change your Yahoo! account password.

Step 1

Launch a Web browser, then go to the Yahoo! homepage.

Step 2

Click the "Sign In" text link in the upper-right corner of the page under the Web Search bar. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password in the appropriate boxes and click "Sign In." The Yahoo! homepage reappears and your name now replaces the "Sign In" text link.

Step 3

Click on your name, then select "Account Info" from the drop-down list. Enter your Yahoo! password to verify your identity, then click "Sign In."

Step 4

Scroll down the page, then click "View Your Recent Login Activity." The Recent Login Activity page opens and displays a list of your recent logins. The time of each login, the date, how your Yahoo! account was accessed and the location of each login displays.

Step 5

Click the "Location" drop-down menu and select "IP Address" to view the IP addresses of each login to your Yahoo! account.
